Unlocking the Beauty of Your Unworn Jewellery: Annakin Jewellery's Repurposing Journey

Welcome to Annakin Jewellery, where the art of jewellery isn't just about adornment; it's about cherishing the past and creating timeless pieces for the future. We're delighted to introduce you to our world of jewellery and the magical transformation of forgotten treasures.

The Visionary Behind Annakin

Annakin Jewellery is the conception of me, Anna France, and it was founded in 2000. Creating beautiful, stunning jewellery, Anna has forged a wonderful reputation over the years for the quality and elegance of her work. There is no set 'look' to an Annakin Jewellery piece - she likes to keep things simple, elegant, and classic with a twist. Combining various techniques and enjoying trying something new and surprising to catch your eye, Annakin Jewellery is all about celebrating the beauty of the unexpected.

Annakin Jewellery is extremely proud of the reputation she has built, and you can see our excellent reviews on Trust Pilot.

The Story of Annakin Jewellery

How many of us have pieces of jewellery that we do not wear, sitting in our drawers? Either fashion has changed, they don't fit anymore, or we have inherited something that, although we love the sentimentality, we do not like the design!

Here is a chance to create something that you will love out of those pieces that have not seen the light of day for a while. By sitting down and talking through what you want to wear, the lifestyle you have today, and how you want to move forward, we can come to a design that you will love and treasure and then pass on yourself to the next generation.

Using the whole of the item, including any stones and metal, ensures that any story that has come with the piece is kept and then retold. It's about preserving the memories and making them shine anew.

The Magic of Repurposing

Over the coming months I will be posting before and after examples of the pieces she has been working on over the past year. There are many success stories, reigniting a love for those pieces that are special to you and yours. Get in touch with Annakin, and let's bring your ideas to life.

Meanwhile go to my website by clicking this link to see a few examples to start you off.

2021 Here we come....................At Last

A moment to say thank you to all those who kept in contact, continued to remember their loved ones and treat them to little surprises and it has to be some big surprises through lockdown after lockdown. Also to those who just sent words of encouragment and wisdom when the days got a little darker.  There were times when my studio looked a little sad as there was little noise or activity in it.

The good news is that the shows, particularly the outdoor ones are getting in gear and that normal service will resume one way or another.

Below is a list of shows that I am booked into and these are being added to all the time.  Some are "in the flesh" ones and some are digital ones and some are still to be confirmed (TBC).

If there is something that I have learnt over the past year is that "vitual" does not mean second best.  Facetime or Zoom meetings are easy to arrange and make buying more fun than just looking at a photograph.

So for the shows - follow the links for advanced tickets and more info

How different things look now in 2020

Dear All

After so much planning, applicaitons, acceptances and a few rejections my show plan for 202 was looking healthy and exciting. Sadly things can change in a flash but I am certainly not down and out.

The shows that have been booked up to September have been cancelled or moved to another date.  Those after September are expecting to run but with caution of things changing later in the summer.

I shall of course keep you all updated of any changes.

Meanwhile the website is up and fully working with some new collections being added all the time.  The mail has not been affected so please keep looking and if you want to have a chat then please do not hesitate to email or phone.

Keep well and safe and I hope to see you you later in the year or in 2021.

love

Anna

Out and about in 2020

Dear Customers

Please find below a list of shows that I shall be exhibiting at during 2020.

Applying for exhibitions is a very time consuming occupation and of course is no guarantee of me being accepted.  The application process involves my products, skill and ethos undergoing close scrutiny from a panel of experts in my field.  It is tough but you know when you have been accepted into a show that you amongst the great and the good in the UK. I feel both proud and satisfied when that acceptance letter or email pops up knowing that I have done my best and it has been recognised.

This is list is being updated all the time so please keep a look out for those emails informing you of exhibitions in your area in more detail.

love

Anna

Shows

There is something about doing a show that is exciting but scary all at the same time and it doesn't matter if it is the first time or the tenth time you have done it.

The shows are often booked nine months ahead and the planning can start well before, even 6 months ahead. Questions such as what type of look do I want and do I need any new exhibition display to create that look? Do I have enough stock and if I don’t – well don’t just sit around, get a move on a make it. How do I get there and where do I stay if it is far from home? Have I filled in all the forms for Health and Safety, electricity supply, drop off and build up times, broadband supply and last but not least do I want lunches supplied?

The travel with early starts, long miles on the road and then the building of the stand which can mean painting, drilling, hammering, ladder work, crawling work and all round huffing and puffing.

The stress of all of this is then completely forgotten when I am on the stand busy chatting to other exhibitors exchanging news and hints on where to exhibit next year but more importantly chatting to customers about my work and looking at someone wearing something that I have created and that they “get it” - why I design what I design and why I am passionate about what I do.

Bring on 2015
